The first game of the regular season is the rematch between the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship last season. Though the Vikings outperformed the Saints in many of the statiscal categories, the Saints went on to win the game and eventually the Super Bowl. The Vikings will have to play with the veteran quarterback Brett Favre as he decided to join the team and not to retire few weeks ago. Favre still has the ability to make great passes as he manages the game all the way throughout. On the other hand, the defending champion's line up is still in tact with their quarterback Drew Brees and their running back Reggie Bush who is in controversy as of the moment. Though it was their defender Tracy Porter pick that changed the course of the ball game that let them win the NFC Championship. Coach Brad Childress of the Vikings is ready to bounce back with his team in this opening game of the NFL.
